When summer turns to fall and the desire for all things cozy and comfortable starts to take hold, many start to gravitate toward sweets, sugary drinks, and rich baked goods. But sweet flavors aren’t the only way to celebrate the arrival of autumn or provide comfort. These Spiced Pumpkin Seeds have the same effect, but through a much savory blend of spices like paprika, chili powder, ground ginger, onion powder, and black pepper.
If you find yourself carving Jack-O’-Lanterns this fall, don’t toss the seeds. Consider reusing them for this Spiced Pumpkin Seeds recipe. Pumpkin seeds may have many health benefits like helping combat arthritis, inflammation, and prostate cancer. [1]
AIP CAUTION: If you are following an Autoimmune Immune Protocol (AIP) and have determined that seeds can be problematic for your condition, consider a more supportive recipe like these Frozen Spiced Melon Bites.
TIP: For a sweeter twist, swap the savory spices with pumpkin pie spice or apple pie spice to coat the seeds.
