Bedtime Bloom Tea from above, finished.
Introduction by: Dr. Brian Keenan

We all know that sleep is sacred, but the dismount from a busy day can often leave us more wired than tired. Fortunately, our herbal allies are here to help us gently relax our nervous system, calm our minds, and prepare us for a deep and restorative slumber.

Some of the most classic herbs for sleep are featured in this recipe. With chamomile being known for both its calming properties as well as digestive support, it’s perfect for the person who feels that twinge of angst in their gut as they prepare for bed or perhaps is a bit bloated after a larger dinner. The addition of hops further enhances the relaxing effects of this tea and adds a deep, rich, earthy flavor which grounds and centers us, helping promote deep sleep.

Lastly, lavandin, a hybrid of true lavender, adds a gentle floral flavor and aroma that is well known for its serenity-inducing effects. All of these herbs contain volatile oils that are best steeped with the cup covered, trapping in their essence for best flavor and results.

A quick and easy blend, let Bedtime Bloom Tea support you as you drift off into a peaceful night’s sleep that will leave you ready for all of tomorrow’s possibilities.

TIPS:

  • If you want to add some sweetness to your tea, you can stir in ½ teaspoon honey or maple syrup per serving.
  • Make it creamy by adding ¼ cup of your favorite non-dairy Paleo milk.
