Finished avocado smoothie next to a pair of bananas

Want a smoothie that tastes just like a milkshake!? Try our avocado smoothie. This recipe is thick, creamy, and delicious, yet it’s made with healthy ingredients like avocados, spinach, and bananas. It’s so good even the kids will be asking for more!

This is a great smoothie to make when you’re on a tight schedule but don’t want to sacrifice getting in a nutritious breakfast or snack. It’s easy to make and only consists of seven ingredients: Throw them in a blender and you’re good to go!

For best results, use a high-powered blender, like a Vitamix. We used coconut milk for the base, but you can also use almond milk or any other non-dairy milk.

To make your avocado smoothie, simply add all the ingredients to a blender, then process until creamy and smooth. You can drink it as is or top it with sliced banana plus a sprinkle of cinnamon and flax seeds.

For best results, slice the bananas ahead of time and freeze them until you’re ready to use them. They’ll blend quickly and add the cold creaminess you’re after.

Tips:

  • If you don’t like bananas, try using frozen mango or pineapple.
  • You can add any number of toppings. Some great options might include: nuts, Paleo granola, a variety of berries, or protein powder.
