Notorious for their distinct aroma, Brussels sprouts can have a bad reputation with children. However, this Balsamic Brussels Sprouts recipe dresses them up with complementary flavors like pork belly, balsamic vinegar, and garlic powder—and once crisped up in the air fryer they will have your kids asking for seconds.
Brussels sprouts contain a high amount of fiber, [1] which is not only great for supporting gut health, but fiber has also been found to “reduce the prevalence of coronary heart diseases and cancer.” [2]
If you want to make this into a heartier meal, shave the Brussels sprouts in this recipe to make a warm salad, similar to our Winter Mason Jar Salad recipe. Top the brussels sprouts base with walnuts, cooked sweet potato cubes, pomegranate seeds, and any other Paleo-friendly toppings for a protein-packed warm salad.
TIP: Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) omissions and substitutions are listed in the recipe ingredients.
