These Lettuce Burger Sliders will make for the perfect appetizer or snack the next time you host a gathering. It has everything you’d want on a burger, just in a smaller, bite-sized form.
Spice things up and add a teaspoon of paprika, ground rosemary, and cumin to the patty mixture for an extra burst of flavor. Customize with your favorite Paleo-friendly toppings like Paleo pickles, pork belly bacon, fried eggs, mushrooms, or Paleo pickled jalapeños.
Forget the buns or bread—these sliders are wrapped in crisp lettuce for a fresh, Paleo-friendly twist. To keep everything neatly in place, secure them with wooden toothpicks. Just be sure they’re long enough and noticeable, so no one bites down on a surprise!
Every burger needs a little sauce. Top your sliders with one or more of the following homemade sauces:
TIP:
- A little goes a long way when adding onion and tomato. Aim to make the slices ¼-inch thick or less.

Lettuce Burger Sliders

Ingredients
1 head lettuce
1 lb lean ground beef
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 red onion, sliced
1 tomato, sliced (AIP - omit)
4 tbsp Paleo ketchup OR Paleo BBQ sauce
Directions
Rinse and separate lettuce leaves. Gently pat dry with a clean towel.
In a medium bowl, thoroughly mix beef, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Separate the ground meat into 8 patties.
Heat grill or stovetop on medium-high heat. Cook patties for about 3 minutes on each side. Pull off heat and let rest 5 minutes.
Assemble sliders, starting with a piece of lettuce slightly larger than the patty. Add meat, ketchup or barbecue sauce, onion, and tomato. Top with another piece of lettuce.
Spear sliders with one to two long toothpicks to hold together.
