Chris received his B.A. in neuroscience, art, and art history from Colgate University. He then spent several years conducting clinical research in patients with schizophrenia at the National Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda, Maryland. After conducting other research on Parkinson’s disease and mood disorders in adolescents, he received his M.A. in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. That led him to a role as managing editor of VeloNews magazine, covering professional cycling around the world. He is also the co-founder of Fast Labs with Trevor Connor and the author of “The Haywire Heart” on heart arrhythmias in endurance athletes.
