Fruit salsas are all the rage when it comes to fresh sides to serve with your favorite meat or seafood dish. Our favorite pairings with this Cherry Salsa are chicken dishes, but you can let your tastebuds lead the way and try it with other proteins—or even scoop it straight from the bowl with sliced veggies or PaleoFLEX™ Tortilla Chips.
Most storebought salsas and recipes use sugar and salt, making them incompatible with a Paleo lifestyle. Our recipe sticks to whole fruits, vegetables, and herbs for maximum flavor and texture. Cherries are seasonal, so if you can’t find them fresh, look for frozen, pitted cherries as the next best option.
Packed with immune boosting, anti-inflammatory and gut supporting nutrients, this Cherry Salsa is a perfect addition to any meal.
TIPS:
- Try adding fresh chopped pineapple for a tropical Cherry Salsa.
- Add more jalapeño or leave the seeds in to bring up the heat.
- If the salsa is too juicy, use a colander or slotted spoon to strain before serving.
Dietary Restrictions: Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) omissions and substitutions are listed in the recipe ingredients.
