Health shots can cost a fortune at the store, and they usually contain a ton of unhealthy additives. Try making our Raspberry Mint Health Shots at home instead. You can store them in your refrigerator and drink them throughout the week for an extra boost of vitamins and minerals.
The main ingredient in these health shots is raspberries. In fact, raspberries have been shown to have numerous health benefits. Specifically, it has been shown that raspberries can help reduce the degree of bone resorption and soft tissue swelling.1 Bone resorption is the process in which minerals in your bones begin to dissolve, causing the bone to break down.2 Therefore, consuming raspberries in moderation can help strengthen bones!
We added spinach to this recipe for its immune-boosting properties. It has even been shown to help reduce the severity of a sore throat.3 So if you or anyone in your family is feeling a scratchy throat coming on, it could be a good idea to have your fridge stocked with these Raspberry Mint Health Shots. Remember, spinach is not going to cure your sore throat, but it can help reduce it!
We normally recommend storing health shots in small glass jars with lids. However, if you don’t have any on hand, you can store the batch in a mason jar or any container with an airtight lid. Then, when you’re ready to enjoy your Raspberry Mint Health Shot, just pour one serving into a shot glass and enjoy!
