Looking for a dairy-free coffee creamer with all the flavors of fall? Try our Apple Pie–Spice Creamer recipe in your morning coffee or tea for a spiced-yet-sweet flavor enhancer. It’s made with an almond milk base and uses cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamon to create a cozy and comforting taste of autumn.

To sweeten this mix, we used maple syrup as a natural alternative to refined sugars and artificial flavorings, giving it a delightful taste without the unhealthy additives. At The Paleo Diet®, we believe healthy eating should be easy and enjoyable, and using natural sweeteners is a simple way to add flavor without compromising your goals.

You’ll need a few tools to make this dairy-free coffee creamer at home. Since it’s made with an almond milk base, you’ll first need to prepare fresh almond milk using just two ingredients: raw almonds and filtered water. Soak the almonds in a Mason jar or any lidded container and strain with a cheesecloth to remove the water. A blender is recommended for creating a smooth texture, though a food processor will also work.

TIPS:

  • You can swap the maple syrup for raw honey if you prefer. Just keep the amount the same to ensure this dairy-free coffee creamer remains TRUEPALEO™.
  • We recommend Ceylon cinnamon for this recipe, which has greater health benefits than cassia (AKA Saigon) cinnamon.
  • Give this dairy-free coffee creamer a stir or a swirl before using to distribute the spices that may have settled on the bottom.
  • Don’t let this creamer go to waste! If you can’t go through it all in a week, save portions in ice cube molds and add to your hot beverage whenever the mood strikes.

Dietary Restriction: Because almonds are not part of an Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) diet, this recipe is not AIP-friendly.
