Looking for a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up? This Iced Honey Citrus Mint Tea combines bright citrus flavors with mint tea for a crisp, flavorful beverage. Enjoy this any time of day, even as a light, soothing drink before bed.

You have two options for steeping your mint tea. The directions below use the quicker method, steeping in hot water and then chilling. If you have more time, you can cold steep the tea in still or sparkling water for at least 3 hours or overnight. This method helps preserve the flavor without watering it down. Tea infusers and pitchers can work well with loose leaf tea if you have one, but a mason jar and tea bags work just fine, too.

We use raw honey in this recipe to help sweeten Honey Citrus Mint Tea. Artificial sweeteners can be bad for your health, so we stick to using a minimal amount of all-natural sweeteners like honey and maple syrup to add more flavor to our recipes. Not to mention, honey has tons of health benefits, like its prebiotic oligosaccharides and anti-inflammatory potential.

This drink contains plenty of pulp from the muddled fruit. You’re welcome to leave it in and skip the straining step for added flavor, texture, and nutrients. For a thinner consistency, remove the orange peel before muddling.

TIP: Swap the strawberries or oranges for grapefruit, lemon, or another tart fruit of choice for a more personalized Honey Citrus Mint Tea.
