What’s better than drinking a tall, cold glass of homemade lemonade on a sunny day? While most lemonade is full of sugar and not Paleo approved, we have altered the ingredients of your typical lemonade recipe and made a Paleo-friendly version, Apple and Pomegranate Homemade lemonade!
There are no artificial sugars used in this recipe, making it a delicious and nutritious treat to satisfy your craving without sacrificing your health. In fact, pomegranate seeds (arils) contain an antioxidant called polyphenols. These powerful compounds can help improve brain health, digestion, blood sugar levels, and can even fight cancer and inflammation. Talk about a superfood!
This lemonade recipe is made with just five simple ingredients: pomegranate seeds, apples, rhubarb, lemons, and water. From prep to done, it takes about five minutes. Just throw the ingredients in your blender and power it up!
If you want to spice up the Apple & Pomegranate Homemade Lemonade recipe, try swapping the rhubarb for any of your favorite fruits. We recommend using oranges, pineapples, or even mango to enhance the flavor. For a picture-perfect presentation, cut up fresh fruit slices and hang them over the rim of the glasses for a tall, refreshing glass of homemade lemonade.
TIP: To serve it icy cold, substitute ½ cup of the water for ½ cup of crushed ice.
