Last Look Back Project: Hunt with the Amazonian Waorani Tribe

By The Paleo Diet Team
November 6, 2020

The Last Look Back Project, led by Dr. Douglas London, works to study and preserve one of the last hunter-gatherer cultures in the world: the Kichwa and Waorani cultures of Amazonian Ecuador.

The Paleo Diet® has recently interviewed Dr. London several times about his work in the Amazon. He believes by studying these cultures we can learn more about the health benefits of a Paleo diet, including improved immune responses to viruses like COVID-19.

You can read more about Dr. London’s research in part one and two of our “Compelling Discoveries About the Diet and Health of one of the few remaining indigenous hunter-gatherer societies on earth”.

In support of Dr. London’s research, The Paleo Diet will be sharing exclusive videos of the tribe. The first video shows Waorani men hunting peccary in the rainforest.
