Air Fryer Chicken Wings
These Paleo bone-in Air Fryer Chicken Wings are the ultimate game-day snack or crowd-pleasing appetizer. After all, no one can resist a spicy chicken wing, especially when they’re good for you! Our recipe is designed for an air fryer, but they can also be baked in an oven or cooked over a grill—whichever method you prefer.
These wings are dry rubbed with a savory fusion of spices. Paprika adds a smoky taste, while black pepper, red pepper flakes, and chili powder turn up the heat. If you want your wings be even hotter, add an extra ¼ teaspoon of each.
You can’t eat wings without a little sauce on the side, so pair this dish with veggie sticks dipped in our dairy-free Paleo ranch (recipe below, and make sure you have a batch of Paleo mayonnaise on hand when you make it), Paleo ketchup, or mustard.
1 1/2 lb bone-in chicken wings and/or drumsticks (about 18-20 pieces)
1 1/2 tsp onion powder (divided)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp black pepper (AIP - omit)
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (AIP - omit)
1/4 tsp chili powder (AIP - substitute ginger)
1/2 cups full-fat coconut milk
1/2 cups Paleo mayonnaise
1 tsp dried dill
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Preheat an air fryer to 400°F and lightly spray with coconut oil.
In a medium bowl, mix 1 teaspoon onion powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, black pepper, pepper flakes, and chili powder.
Add wings and toss until evenly coated.
Cook in the air fryer for 24 minutes, flipping halfway through.
While the wings are cooking, make the ranch: In a small bowl, whisk coconut milk, mayonnaise, dill, ½ teaspoon onion powder, and parsley until well combined.
Serve wings with ranch and vegetable sticks on the side.
