Staying properly hydrated is about more than making sure you drink enough water; our bodies also need electrolytes to stay healthy and function properly. With this homemade Strawberry-Lemonade Electrolyte Drink, you can keep cool in the heat of summer, or use this to hydrate during or after an intense workout.
The strawberries and lemon juice are good sources of potassium, and coconut water provides ample amounts of sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium—even more so than the average sports drink. It’s a simple recipe to make, but packs huge benefits.
Tips:
- Top with sparkling water for a hint of fizz!
- Swap the lemons for limes or oranges if you’d like a different citrus flavor while still getting a boost of potassium.
