• ½ lb (8 oz.) fresh nettle leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp of avocado or olive oil
  • ¼ tsp dried red pepper flakes (adjust up or down to taste)
  1. Using thick garden or kitchen gloves blanch the raw nettles in boiling water until wilted (about 1-2 minutes).
  2. Strain and squeeze them dry.
  3. Over medium heat, heat the oil in a pan. Once hot add the dried red pepper flakes.
  4. Add the nettles and garlic to the pan and sauté until heated through.
