Lorrie Cordain, M.Ed., is the co-author of The Paleo Diet Cookbook and has been living the Paleo lifestyle for 30 years. Together with her husband, Dr. Loren Cordain, she has raised three strong, healthy boys who have thrived on fish, meats, fruits, and vegetables. Lorrie is passionate about creating a variety of delicious Paleo recipes and sharing them with our readers.

As an endurance athlete, mother, educator, and outdoor enthusiast, Lorrie understands the importance of eating for success. The Paleo Diet has given her the strength and energy to sustain her healthy lifestyle where she lives, works, and plays in Fort Collins, Colorado.

What makes you an expert on The Paleo Diet?

Sharing my life with The Paleo Diet founder, Dr. Loren Cordain, provides me with access to the ultimate reference guide to all things Paleo.

Describe the impact The Paleo Diet has had on you and your family's life?

Our family began eating “Paleo” before Dr. Cordain’s first book, and continues to do so today. We have enjoyed a vibrant and active family life with virtually no major health issues.

What does “healthy living” mean to you? And what do you like to eat when you go to the movies?

Health is everything, providing us with the physical, mental, and emotional ability to enjoy living life to the fullest. Most importantly, what we do at least 85 percent of the time allows for us to have the occasional non-Paleo treat. For me, it’s definitely theater popcorn. Butter please!

What do you enjoy doing when you are not writing for The Paleo Diet? 

First and foremost, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Enjoying God’s playground, in and around Colorado, is where I love to create and recreate any time, any season.
